Tuesday, May 28

Travel Day – No events are scheduled. However, our hospitality suite will open at 6:30 pm (Room TBD) for informal gatherings. Dinner will be on your own.

Wednesday, May 29

Kickstart your day with a hearty breakfast at 8:00 am. At 9:00 am, Samir Sheikh, CAPCOA President, will welcome everyone, followed by an engaging discussion on electricity at 9:10 am, covering the Summer 2024 Reliability Outlook and new federal standards.

Take a break at 10:30 am and return at 10:45 am for a legislative update by Brendan Twohig. Enjoy lunch at noon (location TBD), then join the US EPA/CARB/CAPCOA roundtable at 1:30 pm featuring Matt Lakin, Steve Cliff, and Samir Sheikh.

After the 3:30 pm break, we will reconvene at 3:45 pm for a presentation on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Environmental Justice by Aeron Arlin Genet and Dr. Anissa Heard-Johnson. The day’s events conclude at 4:45 pm.

At 6:00 pm, join us for the CAPCOA Membership Dinner (location TBD) with special guests, including representatives from US EPA, CARB, and retired APCO Glen Stephens. The hospitality suite will remain open (Room TBD).

Thursday, May 30

Start your day with breakfast at 8:00 am, followed by updates from NACAA at 9:00 am with Miles Keogh and AAPCA at 10:00 am with Jason Sloan. After a break at 10:45 am, join us at 11:00 am for a discussion on “Two Hats: Air Pollution Control Officer and Agricultural Commissioner,” featuring Kelle Schroeder, Marcie Skelton, and Anastacia Allen.

Lunch is at noon, and the afternoon session starts at 1:30 pm with a fun and open presentation. Take a break at 2:30 pm, then join the section meetings at 2:45 pm:

The day adjourns at 3:45 pm, and the hospitality suite will be open (Room TBD). Dinner will be on your own.

Friday, May 31

Conclude the event with breakfast at 8:00 am, followed by the General Membership Meeting at 9:00 am and the CAPCOA Board Meeting at 10:00 am.
